A Poem About The Moon

Hello Lovelies,

photo : instagram of the moon by me, @teabutterfly

I am a big lover of the autumn moon, so here's a poem (originally written in Chinese) translated by me into English and French.

Nostalgia

Right before my bed lays the moonlight

The earth seems covered with white ice

I raise my head and watch the moon

Then i lower it and think of my homeland.
-Lee Bay

静夜思
床前明月光，
疑是地上霜。

举头望明月，
低头思故乡。

李白

Nostalgie

Devant mon lit est le clair de lune,
Le sol paraît plein de gelée blanche.
Je lève la tête et contemple la lune.
Puis je la baisse et songe à mon pays natal

Li Bai

Hello Lovelies!

Here is a thought for fall, when things get back to (very) busy, days grow short and the air is crisp:

Summer Is Over

Hello Lovelies!

Photography: Slim Aarons.*

It is a bittersweet feeling when summer ends. Fall is my favorite season and I love me some crisp air but summer is so full of light and love, too. It's been a great summer for me, and a very hot one.

I am back from hospital now and feel like singing the word FREEDOM out loud together with Aretha Franklin in her 1968 song, "Think". So here goes:

Enjoy!

It Hit Me, Again

Hello Lovelies!

I'm in a rainy mood.

image via la grande dépression - do listen to this awesome (but melancholy) podcast!

The evil illness, depression, hit me again. I struggled and struggled until I could not bear it it anymore. It's not an easy subject to be talking about... Let's just say I feel constantly exhausted for no reason (other than the depression itself) and that everything seems to be dull, grey and blurred... This is what depression looks like to me:

I have to check in hospital today, and so will close my etsy shop for now. I wish you lovelies a wonderful end of summer and I hope to be returning soon.

I'm trying to remember this inspirational quote:

"But without the dark, we could never see the stars."

My best,

Things I Love Friday - the Random Edition

Hello Lovelies!

A few random things I like today: a bit of photography, a bit of Japan, some insects of course, and news about my art. Enjoy!

photo, my own. more photos of my vacation in the South of France here.

Speaking of vacation, the wabi sabi blog took one in Sweden, and i love their image of "some weeds in the lake" by Nääs Castle & Crafts.

 It's Friday, it's FFF time!

This week, i'd like to share this diptych I made out of two fave photos. Do check out the original images, they're stunning!

Sarah has been playing with film underwater, and it's beautiful!

I love insects and botanical charts as art hung on walls! Here's my latest inspiration:
